Benjamin Arledge - Experienced Web Developer, Internet Marketing Consultant

I'm currently available for part-time telecommute projects and maintenance contracts. ColdFusion (CFML) is my specialty.

Ben is serving several clients such as Yardstick Software. He supports a large network of websites and a wide variety of technologies. Recent development includes a Facebook application and Content Management System for ProExams.com and ProTraining.com.

Ben was Senior Web Developer at Parcom Marketing Inc. from March 2006 to February 2008 and was responsible for creating and maintaining a multitude of travel related websites, including TravelAlberta.com. He set up and maintained multiple CMS systems and excelled in mapping and geocoding technology integration for Travel Alberta Secretariat, Travel Alberta In-Province, and Parcom Marketing Inc. clients.

As Senior Software Architect at Vintacom Media Group Inc. from September 2003 to February 2006, Ben developed and maintained a large network of online dating sites in the Relationship Exchange. The amount of traffic going to these sites (1M+ visitors per day) required Ben's high quality and high performance development skills.

Ben was a Senior Web Developer at Edmonton Public Schools from March 1998 to August 2003. In that capacity he was able to spend a considerable amount of time building various web applications that helped to shape the future direction of children and staff in the district.

From 2000 to 2002 Ben was CTO/CFO of Mental Monkeys Inc. a small consulting and custom software/web development company. Most of Mental Monkeys' market was web and database development for small businesses.

Ben started his IT career by building a Human Resources Intranet at Videotron Communications Ltd. (now Shaw Cable) in August 1997 to February 1998.

Ben has an intense passion for figuring out how things work and putting them in motion. His good business sense has helped him many times, especially in application development, where he has found his ability to put everything into perspective is one of his best and most appreciated skills.
